The tone of this building is exciting, fun, great energy, entertaining, pleasant, feeling welcomed, helpful, and super friendly. Its in Harlem and its very crowded and lots of stores and very busy. The thing that makes the Apollo Theater an landmark is its rich history from them closing down and from all the great performers that performed there. The Apollo Theater Reached its landmark status in 1991 after many closed downs and reopens the Apollo Theater became a private non-profit organization.

History Of The Apollo Theater
The Apollo Theater was opened in 1913 in Harlem, 253 West 125th St. New NY 10027. It was designed by George Keister with an area of 17,420 ft. When opened up the Apollo Theater only allowed whites but they eventually changed the rule and started to allow blacks. Due to the thefts and robberies that were happening in Harlem they eventually had to close down. In 1976 they reopened the Apollo Theater. A estimated 1.3 million people visit every year.
